Green River Gorge

Green River Gorge is located in North Carolina, south of Hendersonville, not far from Asheville. Along an easy trail, after three miles from the road, a steep path goes down the gorge to a beautiful place where a few creeks join the main river.   This picture was taken on April 4th, 2004.

At the same place, the Green River falls down a few rocks and creates a big pool. The best way to get there is still to walk in the water, deep to the knees.   This picture was taken on April 4th, 2004.

The Green River goes on and after one more mile and falls down one step. This place is full of rocks and is great for kayaking.   This picture was taken on April 4th, 2004.
