White Sands National Monument

The White Sands national monument is located 12 miles south-west of Alamogordo, enclaved inside the White Sands missile range. A partially paved road goes in the dunes and there are a few hiking trails. The landscape is so similar in every direction that people must be careful not to get lost - it is very hot there.
