Monument Valley, Arizona, Tuesday May 17th 2005.

Along the self-guided Valley drive, the rock formation made of sandstone show a very dark red color, the sand on the ground is very thin and of the same color, a few bushes here and there.

Monument Valley is on the border of Arizona and Utah. It is four hours away from the Grand Canyon. The road to get there is very scenic. That place is in fact the junction between two plateaux, the erosion has created the rock formations at that location. After a right curve on the road, a broad and magnificent panoramic view comes suddenly to sight. It's magic.
